We have just finish working with theme 7. Students will be assess on this theme on MOnday, March 19th and 20th. We will begin theme 8 (Down on the Farm)on Wednesday, March 21st. Students will learn:
initial consonants (substitution): the words is cot; change the /k/ to a /p/ and make a new word, pot
reading strategies: monitor and clarify, question
Comprehension skill: fantasy and realism, noting details
beginning sounds: /t/, /k/, /n/, /h/, /f/, /s/
initial consonants: t, k, n, x, h, f, s
short o
ending sound /x/
high frequency words: I, see, my, like, the, a, to, and, go, is, here, for, have, said, play, she, are, he
rhyming words
Assessment for theme 8 will be after Easter Break.
